I got Glock from Steve as a puppy in 2002, he is 6 years old now. He has a 107 prize II N.A. and a 191 Prize I UT in NAVHDA. Glock is the best dog I have ever owned period. I could not have asked for dog with a better personality or hunting ability or as a companion. And one of the best things that came out of getting Glock is the friendship I have developed with Steve and Linda Kane in the process. You can't go wrong with a Vom Woltjen dog.

I have a male from Steve. My GWP, Derringer, is 8 years old now and has been the best dog I have ever had. Derringer prized during his Natural Ability test and has been a great hunting companion. We brought Derringer home a few months before my second son. I could not ask for a better family dog for my kids.

Steve really cares about the success of his dogs and was a huge help in training me to get Derringer ready for his Natural ability test. I'll get my next dog from Steve when the time comes.

Steve,

Hope all is well and the all of Gauge's siblings are doing well.  Gauge had a checkup on Friday and got a good health report.  He weighs 35# now and has all of his vaccines.  I also gave him the Lyme vaccine.

Doc, Gauge and I went to the home of Scott Phelps who had the sire to Doc and has Doc's brother.  Scott installed my invisible fence.  We took Gauge out on some homing pigeons and he did great.  He certainly has a lot of drive.  I am sending a few pictures that I took when Gauge was on point on the pigeon.  He aslo pointed on a quail in the woods.

 

Gauge also did great on water retrieves with the bumpers. Scott said that spring test will be a breeze for this dog. 

 

I also left a message with the update on Gauge as well.  I called from Mom's home phone, just in case you did not recognize the number. 

 

I will keep you updated on his progress.

 

Note: Two Vom Woltjen dogs recieved Prize 1 Utility Test scores in NAVHDA tests and have qualified for the Invitational Test for Versatile Champion title.  Madison aka "Jersey score of 204 max and Maddy in Canada with a score of 201 UT.  Updates later in 2016.
